The season of spring is associated with the element wood. It is the time of transition from the cold to the warm season. It is the time of movement and growth. 

Springtime nutrition means a fresh start for our bodies. The climate is slowly warming up. In the TCW, spring is described by the earth branches Wood Yan (H+), Wood Yin (H-) and Earth Yang (E+).
