12 signs of the zodiac - what are they?
12 zodiac lines - Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, Rat and Buffalo - are based on the division of a year into 12 sections, which in Traditional Chinese Science are determined by the 12 branches of the earth.
The interactions between the 12 earth branches are the basis for the interpretation of fate. The different interactions result in favorable and unfavorable combinations.
If you want to determine your own zodiac sign, take a look at the earth branch of the Chinese calendar year. Each earth branch is assigned an animal. For example, someone born in the earth branch H+ is assigned to the zodiac sign Tiger.
Assignment of zodiac signs to birth years
Important note: The Chinese year does not begin in January (as in Europe, for example, on 1.1.xxxx), but at the beginning of February with a varying start date. If you were born in January, your zodiac sign still counts towards the previous year! And if you were born at the beginning of February, you can check the Chinese lunar calendar for the corresponding year to see which sign of the zodiac your birthday belongs to.
Interpretation of the individual signs of the zodiac in the current year
The individual signs of the zodiac are reinterpreted each year. These interpretations are published in Chinese almanacs and can be looked up there. The most important almanacs are, for example

- The Zi Wei Dou Shu Almanac (紫微斗数)
- The "Shengxiao Almanacs" (生肖年鉴)
